I just broke the promise I made to myself that I’d never post on XTwitter again. In my defence it was to @ Keir Starmer and Zelenskyy to start posting on Bluesky.
If you still have your account over there why don’t you do the same?

There are three US-based Developer Advocate roles open in the org I manage right now!

The first two are focused on telling AWS's developer tools story - for example, Kiro, Serverless, Amplify, etc.

IMHO Amazon Q CLI is underrated. I use it daily, not just for code gen but as my AWS search engine.
I work for AWS so you may think I’m biased but I also choose to use it for my personal projects.
So strange:

Practically no one outside of Amazon seems to know about Amazon Q Developer. It's Amazon's "version" of GH Copilot. All devs at Amazon use it (and like it AFAIK!) It excels working with anything AWS.

And it's a public product!

Like they were hiding it... but not!

Amazon Aurora DSQL is now GA!! It's "the fastest serverless distributed SQL database with virtually unlimited scale" according to AWS.

Been trying out the preview of this and it looks super promising.

Gotta be honest, Junie by @jetbrains.com is pretty solid and currently my first choice.
Current order of usage for new code… Junie, Claude code, Amazon Q Developer cli.
For debugging/fixing q developer, copilot.
Need to put Junie through its paces on existing projects.
Junie Go support is good.

Staff badge collected, all checked in at the hotel, time for dinner.
Not a bad view from the room

If you’re going to the #AWS London Summit next week at ExCel and see me then say hi.
I’ll be the one in the AWS polo shirt and staff lanyard 🤣

Deep dive in to @localstack.cloud today for personal projects.
Step 1: get up and running on my Mac
Step 2: get up and running on my PI5 that I use with my iPad when travelling.
If all goes well I will probably treat myself to a Pro subscription.

Yay! Passed the AWS SA Professional certification exam!
First re-certification of the year done.
Found it quite different to the SAP-CA01 version I took 3 years ago.

I’ll be there talking and demoing Amazon Q and Amazon Bedrock.
