Republicans said for months they had plenty of time to figure out what to do about Obamacare subsidies expiring at year’s end. During a 6-week government shutdown that ended last week, they said they’d talk about it after. Now, with five weeks to go before New Year’s, they’re scrambling and divided.
Republicans left the Obamacare cliff to the last minute. Some are regretting it.
GOP lawmakers knew subsidies were expiring and premiums would spike, but no clear, conservative alternative emerged.

If I were @schumer.senate.gov, I would not agree to help Republicans fund this regime on the "promise" of an ACA vote at a later date. It didn't work the last time when they promised to fund DC. It won't work this time either. The House won't touch it.
