Relatively speaking, I’m not sure they are! Meh 50-something baseball lifers who are desperate for coaching gigs are pretty cheap. One of the reasons Dusty appealed to the Lerners is because he had no other options.
These kids already have good jobs. Taboni is probably having to pry them away.
