I've been here since 84, and I can't remember an earlier one.

I wonder at this point if it's a hardware failure given nothing changed from earlier today when it was working to when I got home tonight and it wasn't. I've made an appointment to take it in to Microcenter as it's still under warranty (barely). So we'll see what they say.

And it got explained. Still giving it side eye, but it at least has an explanation.

They are, but will the Democrats in Congress actually listen? Will they stop giving unanimous consent in the Senate? Will they actively introduce articles of Impeachment against Trump in the House and force votes on them? Or will they just mouth platitudes and pray for Midterms?

Welcome to the US South. There was a Dem elected Mayor in NC last night whose last name is Clapsaddle.

Either way, it bothers me. Cook resurrected two characters in this book. One of them I can rationalize. The other? No. I just can't make my brain shut up about it.

Although it's also one of the reasons I have detailed notes on my stuff so I can try to avoid the hypocrisy of doing it myself.

What is that? It's changing the facts of the previous book. Elizabeth Moon did this with the Paladin's Legacy series, though she didn't resurrect characters (unlike Cook).

Maybe it's just my Autistic brain going "That's not what happened!" or it feeling like being gaslit by the writer.
