Long time since I've followed him on X, but does Musk tweet about cool new findings about Mars? Or say much about the rovers currently exploring bits of it? Does he even notice when it's good news for settlement (e.g, more glaciers that are mostly ice recently)? My sense was, rarely. 4/

If I were as Mars obsessed as Musk apparently is, I'd be pretty interested in Mars science, for intrinsic intersest for sure -- "hey what's the story of this place I'm devoting my life to?" -- but even for practicalities about resources, dangers, landing sites of scientific interest, etc 3/

I can't even think of him mentioning specific locales on Mars, it's always just "Mars". I could tell you about places I'd like to visit, scenery I imagine, mysteries and histories I am eager to know, how I'd cry seeing Earth and Venus shining together in the quickly fading blue-gray twilight

It's not so much bizarre as deliberately deceptive. The MD senators making this argument absolutely understand how insurance works but think voters can be misled

bsky.app/profile/dbur...
They really are going with "you and your neighbor both paid $10,000 for health insurance last year and that mooch got a heart transplant while you got bupkiss! Is that fair?".

I wonder if we're far enough past the uninsured / preexisting condition days that voters will fall for it?
Remember that insurance is actually a thing you hope never to use, and then read this critique.

Curious also about health insurance industry donations to R vs D last cycle or two.

I even wonder a bit if there was some targeting of likely senators in capacity restrictions.
