Canada is on the verge of adopting a national standard requiring N95s in healthcare—and your voice can help make it happen.

It’s hard to explain the hope I had at the beginning of the pandemic. I was scared, but I also thought we were going to become a more inclusive society. We would care more about chronic illness.

Having that hope ripped away and replaced with eugenics & fascism has been incredibly painful.

As a disabled web accessibility practitioner. This pisses me off. Extremely.

GENERATIVE AI DOES NOT AND CANNOT EVER REPRESENT DISABLED PEOPLE.

Just fucking hire disabled people like me who know what they're doing.

Believing AI over disabled people is ABLEISM and DEHUMANIZING. For fucks sake.

Being wrong is hard. If anyone who has downplayed the harms of COVID wants to stop doing that, I vow to have nothing but grace for you. I’ll go to bat for you and you will be awesome.

If you’re traveling this holiday season, remember to wear an N95 mask.

There’s COVID, flu, and other respiratory viruses circulating—especially in indoor public spaces. The best way to avoid long COVID and other lingering conditions associated with viral illness is simply not getting sick.

Mask.

Many studies show masks work. But those with vested interests have created confusion using the same disinfo tactics as tobacco and fossil fuel companies. Governments need to stop caving into bullies and instead, consistently and unapologetically educate the public on the importance of wearing masks.
Don’t believe those who claim science proves masks don’t work | Lucky Tran
A new scientific review of the efficacy of masks is deeply flawed. That hasn’t stopped some from touting it

After COVID emerged and as it continues, I am no longer able to view the world the same way. I will never be able to again. A common tact adopted by many has been refusal to acknowledge it - we are changed.

Some say it is over, but it isn't. We'll be sorting this out for years.

I'm still seeing people asking what #SearchTheLandfill is about so I'm going to post some articles all in one place to help folks get caught up. Please spread the word, especially if you are not from Canada.

It's exhausting to have to continually explain to people why you don't want to catch Covid and haven't returned to full 2019 normal

The NB Conservative gov't said they needed to review Policy 713 b/c of "hundreds" and then "thousands" of complaints about name changes being kept from parents.

There were none. No complaints.

Whenever I write about long-covid or ME, I get waves of emails from chronically ill folk who say they feel seen and heard.

But with this piece on fatigue (and PEM), I'm *also* hearing from healthy people saying that they finally get what their loved ones are going through.

Which feels amazing.
Fatigue Can Shatter a Person
Everyday tiredness is nothing like the depleting symptom that people with long COVID and ME/CFS experience.

“Ignoring COVID” means ignoring equity. Unless governments actually acknowledge that they still need to do much more to mitigate the harms of COVID, millions of people who are higher risk or have Long COVID will never be able to “ignore COVID.” That’s a travesty.
