We're so proud of our amazing Children's Manager and bookseller extraordinaire for receiving the Duende-Word BIPOC Bookseller Activism Award for 2025. Come in and meet her in person, and learn why this is so well-deserved. Congrats, Lily!

I am so excited for this adorable book! All babies need a proper culinary introduction, and OODLES OF NOODLES will teach 'em about animals and numbers at the same time.

Meet my critique group, the Troika! Margaret Nevinski & Elsa Watson are brilliant writers. I'm the luckiest, having their eyes on my work.

We were able to see each other in person on Monday, & it was such a treat! I love these ladies.

Honestly, even if you merely like (or generously tolerate!) an author, this is a lovely thing to do for books and bookstores and bookfriends and bookculture. ♥️ Requesting that your local library order it goes a long way too (especially with lesser-known authors most library don't have on auto-buy).
If you love an author, preorder their next book as soon as you hear about it. They’ll love you forever, and when you get your copy the very day of publication, you’ll forget you ever paid for it and it’ll feel like you got it free.

Matilda laid her first egg! It's the green one. Matilda is the yellow chick in the chicken baby photo. She's the 1st of our young hens to start laying.

I feel like I need to write an after-school special for the 3 hens who aren't laying yet called Beatrice Has an Egg.
