It was an honour to sit on the Delegated Legislation Committee for the Infected Blood Compensation Scheme Regulations 2025 yesterday.

We agreed on many amendments to the legislation which will give victims with HIV and Sickle Cell access, no matter when the infection occurred.

My letter highlighted in @theguardian.com

Jamaica is facing unimaginable loss after Hurricane Melissa.

I’m urging the UK to show compassion, give more aid & humanitarian visas for those with UK family here, after losing everything.

Meet Forhad Hussain, Labour candidate for Mayor of Newham 2026.

Experience in politics, business, sport and the community; determined to tackle the challenges we face after 14 years of Tory cuts.

I’m looking forward to working with Forhad & the council candidates to deliver for my constituents.

Another campaign win!

Thanks to all who campaigned including Gordon Brown & many others. 🙌🏾

This Budget means gambling companies will pay more tax under @uklabour.bsky.social

Next let's end 'Aim to Permit'.

Great to see the tourist levy finally moving forward in #Budget2026, I’ve championed this! 🎉

We highlighted its huge potential at the GLA Oversight Committee’s report launch, and it’s fantastic to see the Government deliver it.

This is a win for Londoners.💙🏙️

It’s #WhiteRibbonDay and this year the focus is digital violence.

I face a lot of online abuse and I know how often it can spill into real life.

If you see sexism, misogyny or racism online, call it out.

16 days of activism starts now.

Today is Equal Pay Day.

From now until the end of the year, women in the UK are effectively working for free.

The gap still sits at 10.9% and for many Black and Asian women it’s even wider.

We need equal pay, flexible work and transparency.

Not tomorrow, today.

I’ve spent today reflecting on Trans Day of Remembrance.

Too many trans lives are still lost to violence and hate. We all have a responsibility to stand against prejudice and build a world where everyone is safe and valued.

Let's be each other's allies🌈

I’ve heard from hundreds of residents worried sick about family in Jamaica after Hurricane Melissa.

I’ve written to the Home Secretary urging a temporary humanitarian visa or fee waiver so vulnerable relatives can reach safety.

Prayers for Jamaica 🇯🇲👇🏾
