Super professional performance, real impact from the subs off the bench - and it was needed. Gyokeres and Martinelli offered a lot more than Jesus and Madueke. Eze good too when he came on,.

Thought Trossard was superb today, Rice and Zubi such a great pairing, and a big win makes the gap 9 points!

Sunderland have made this very difficult, but Arsenal good value for the lead. Great strike from Zubi (and Merino celebration!), Rice and Havertz have had efforts go *just* wide. Jesus marginally offside for what would have been a pen.

Brobbey a touch fortunate to only see yellow for that foul too.

That was a truly horrible game of football made hilarious by the late Havertz goal.

Sky waxing lyrical over Chelsea and Rosenior playing the long game when they just wasted at least an hour of a game when they were a goal down and had to score.

Tactical disasterclass imo.

Arsenal go to Wembley!

Maybe it's tactical, Chelsea setting up to nullify Arsenal, which has worked, but mostly it just feels very cagey.

I don't think our front three really works, not enough technical quality to make the ball stick high up the pitch, and it looks like we're playing like we know that.

Solid half from Arsenal, restricted them to v little bar one shot from distance.

Madueke with a lovely assist and a great header from Zubi, and I think the second goal should go his way. It was going in when the keeper flapped at it, but for now it's an own goal.

A good platform for the 2nd half

I think that's pretty much exactly what we needed. A big response to last week, four goals, clean sheet, an impressive scoreline and bar a few mins in the 2nd half we had control of this game.

Good CF goals from Gyokeres and Jesus, Madueke a big impact, Ode better off the bench. Good stuff!

Arsenal had two great chances to make it 4-1 & basically end the tie as a contest, but we missed both and then Chelsea make it 3-2.

I think we were the better side by some distance, & it's a good win away from home, but I suspect Arteta will feel this one should be more or less done. Cup football!

Top of the table at Christmas, can't argue with our league position, but that wasn't the kind of convincing performance you'd have hoped for after Wolves.

Hit the post twice, but also got away with one when Everton could easily have had a penalty.

Still, 3 points the most important thing!

That second half from Arsenal was fucking sensational. As good as you could possibly hope to put in against a team as good as this.

Bossed it 100%. Madueke with his first goal, and then Martinelli, no less than we deserved. And Bayern offered NOTHING after the break.

Hello Europe, we're Arsenal

What an amazing day for Arsenal and for Eberechi Eze. Incredible for him in any context, but with his history, his journey, it's just really, really special.

Also a massive win, and a statement/fuck off win in this title race after the results yesterday

Huge day, lots of fun to be had after this!

Absolutely fantastic second half, and that's a great result against top quality opposition.

Brilliant set-piece to crack the game open, amazing assist from MLS for Martinelli's goal, and great to see Gyokeres get his brace. He needed those goals, regardless of how they went in!

A v positive night

Played well, deservedly ahead and probably should have scored more. Gyok lively and this is the best Martin Odegaard performance for some time, really pulling the strings.

Olympiacos have had moments though, that David Raya save gets better each time you see it.

Solid, but work still to do.

I think my heartbeat is normal (ish) now.

Massive effort to come back and win that game. Merino's value for moments like that is worth acknowledging, and Big Gabi is just a colossus. Made up for that 1st half error to win it.

We've been overdue 3 points at their place, and it feels really good!

Solid day's work. Zubimendi will get the headlines for his two goals, but impressive stuff from Cristhian Mosquera and Noni Madueke, and the Eze/Gyokeres link-up for the second goal is what we're hoping to see lots more of this season.

With more final third precision, this could have been 4 or 5-0.

Well, that was fun.

And that was without Saka, Saliba, Havertz, Jesus, Norgaard and Odegaard (pretty much).

Hugely encouraging afternoon for Arsenal, Mikel Arteta and his summer signings.
