Palestine is intersectional or it is meaningless. If being pro palestine to you means tolerating antisemites and racists, then you have no business speaking on the issue

Any Palestinian who thinks they have to "give it to Candace owens" is a useful idiot. Yes yes lets align with the far right at a time when the issue is essentially mainstreamed in normal circles. I wonder who benefits from this re-alignment

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

The moms of Montgomery County don't like Bethany Mandel because she's a jerk to trans kids, and that tells a lot about America's political realignment.
The “Likable”/“Unlikable” Political Realignment
American conservatism is a home for unlikeable people who’ve turned their unlinkability into a political project.

Much of the “left” applies grotesque double standards to the Israeli government and military which are themselves forms of antisemitism that causes real harm to Jews in Israel and the diaspora. That does not absolve the Israeli govt and military for their decades long oppression of Palestinians.

The Trump administration is now literally *fighting* to deny food to 42 million people, more than a third of them children.

Read that again.

This is absolutely the right response at this point. The ADL has abandoned its right to be taken seriously as a voice of the American Jewish community. Politicians should absolutely meet with a diverse array of Jewish constituents. But the ADL must be ignored and dismissed until it loses influence.
A ‘Mamdani Monitor’?? Zohran RESPONDS to the ADL’s Jonathan Greenblatt for vowing to “track” his admin for antisemitism.

“I have some doubts in Jonathan's ability to do so honestly, given that he previously said I had not visited any synagogues only to have to correct himself.”

It's telling that this message from Amichai Chikli, the Israeli Diaspora Minister, about how Jews in NYC need to make immediate Aliyah after the election of Mamdani as mayor, is offered in Hebrew, not English.

Almost like his actual audience isn't really NYC Jews at all.
This Hebrew message from Amichai Chikli, Israeli Diaspora Minister, reads:
"The city that was once a symbol of global freedom has handed over its keys to a Hamas supporter, one whose stance is not far removed from the jihadist fanatics who murdered three thousand of its own people 25 years ago...

It's telling that they're saying "No Zionists are welcome in the Mamdani movement" while also totally dismissing Brad Lander, a self-described liberal Zionist, as part of the movement.

For the "Free Press," being a Zionist equates to being a Likudnik who supports Israel's military action.

Q: It's election day in NYC. Did you vote for Mamdani or Cuomo?

Schumer: "Look, I voted, and I look forward to working with the next mayor to help NYC."

why is this mayoral election different than all other mayoral elections?

in all other mayoral elections, we get to see andrew cuomo lose but once. but in this mayoral elections, we get to see him lose *twice*.

this is an obvious overcorrection that misleads the polling data and will lead to disaster in the Heartland. the results of tonight show that the Democrats should moderate: adopting two or at most three of the five pillars of Islam

Historian David Wyman estimates that approximately 200,000 fewer Jews would have been murdered in the Holocaust if the US had not passed the Immigration Act of 1924.

That is what JD Vance is out there defending right now.

American football can be exciting, but it finally occurred to me after watching the World Series this year that it really doesn’t hold a candle to baseball, basketball, or hockey, precisely because the best of 7 series offers so much more drama. It’s something I always knew but just clicked today.

Can people stop praising the Dodgers. Fuck them. Fuck them. Unless you’re from LA fuck this “what a great game” bullshit. It’s only a great game if your team wins and the Dodgers should not be anybody’s team unless you’re from LA. Sorry I’m angry.

I wouldn't vote for Graham Platner in the primary for Democratic Senate candidate in Maine. Progressive Dems should find a candidate better than him and than Janet Mills. But I would vote for Platner or Mills over Susan Collins in the general election, because that would be the better option.
