A great thread about Pier 21, where my dad first arrived in the late 60s.

From 1928 to 1971, one million new Canadians stepped foot in their new home after arriving at Pier 21 in Halifax.
Often compared to Ellis Island in the United States, Pier 21 is the last surviving seaport immigration facility in Canada.

I signed up to Bluesky almost a month ago looking for an alternative to Twitter. I’m also trying Threads, but I’m preferring Bluesky overall. Cheers to the Bluesky developers and community.
