I got it after turning 40 and it was miserable. Didn't even think of getting the vaccine before I qualified. I should look into this!

Stop illegally bringing me that food I ordered!

1985 anti-growth public commenters put much more effort into their craft. I love this one that is structured as a mini-screenplay. Art in the service of the public.

Let's apply this same scaling to parking fees next!

Interesting! Was the greatest challenge they're facing how to keep providing abundant free parking?

This person is not super engaged if they’re not aware of the project that has been in progress since 2024 at this intersection.

I think they may have other concerns they just aren’t sharing 🤔

I'm amazed these walkable shapes even exist! I wish our local school district had this type of data available. Love your analysis as well! I'm curious if I could apply the rules that are being discussed throughout to some of our local schools and cook something similar up.

Trailers are so much more useful than a pickup truck too. Pickup beds aren't actually that big when you start moving big stuff.

Not sure how to replicate this but we have a neighbor with a trailer that is super generous. It's an even better solution to this problem!

The reporting in local media never mentions these facts which makes me yell at my computer more than I’d like to admit.

Whenever I do this digging in San Mateo/Burlingame the answer is almost always that the building sold in the past few years and the property taxes were raised for the first time in decades. Café Capuchino and B St books are two recent examples.

If you're looking for a map/stats like this we have a process @parkingreform.org to get there. Happy to try these tools out within that process. Requires some digging into zoning and then mapping parking lots (which this tool appears to help automate).

The one on the right is actually a bike lane. After building it to this point they didn't count enough traffic across it to justify finishing it off.

Don't know enough about Portland to fully relate but the general "two <insert place>" aspect of the news resonates. Feels like we are constantly listening to people judging something that doesn't exist and then suggesting solutions to the problems they've "found". Appreciate your voice out there!

This should trigger Caltrain to be free. All net revenue should go to my Clipper card.

"His police chief said some of the [scooter] riders had been found to be carrying guns. The mayor wants them banned from sidewalks."

This is referring to banning guns on sidewalks, right?

Looks like the coffee shop closed in 2020 and has never re-opened. It definitely isn't too successful so I guess it's mission accomplished!

That conveyor system is broken most of the time as well. Cars just use the drive through as temporary parking to go use the old fashioned book drop.

This is a corollary truth to: The right number of cars is N-1 and the right number of bikes is N+1.
