Una noticia muy triste. William J. Bond fue uno de los científicos que más admiré y que más me ha influido. Tuve además la suerte de realizar con él una estancia predoctoral, lo que me permitió conocer a alguien excepcional también en el plano personal.
I'm very sad to say William Bond, of the University of Cape Town & Fellow of the Royal Society (@royalsociety.org ), has passed away. It is a great loss. He was an enthusiastic ecologist and a critical thinker. I learned a lot, and I still had a lot to learn from him. RIP. 😢

One of the many benefits of a strong regulatory state/organisation. You wouldn't think that having food that is-what-it-says-it-is is something of great significance; but where regulation is weaker (like the USA), consumables have many 'cost-saving' additives that are outright toxic.
