Autism is not a disease; there is no “autism epidemic.”

Note how such rhetoric portrays people on the autism spectrum: it identifies part if their selfhood as a disease that should be eradicated. These are very dangerous, ableist presuppositions. #disability

Their theology of healing, rooted in readings of the Bible, led to the death of a disabled 8 y/o girl. Interpretations of Scripture have material effects on the lives of the disabled. We need serious interventions. #disability #Bible
