Possible unpopular opinion: Reverse airline ticketing. Airlines should have free checked baggage and charge $25 for any carry on bags bigger than a small handbag. If you want the benefit of not waiting for your luggage at baggage claim you should pay. Would also solve a bunch of problems at boarding

Spent yesterday in meetings. Almost universally, talk centred around how everyone is cancelling their US holidays since the election of Trump and have begun planning European and Asian breaks. Looks like the world is turning its back on the US, and they're about to learn what the FO in FAFO means.

A piece of advice to all new Bluesky users. Complete your profile as soon as you can (especially your bio and a photo). We're all still gun-shy from the other place, so we are still nervous about following anonymous bots and trolls. Show us you're real and we'll embrace you.

Look guys, I'm all for dunking on the far right, but we all need to take a deep breath.
My feed this morning is starting to look like a liberal version of X.
Dial back the vitriol. We need to be better than that. Bluesky should be a place where we welcome all (constructive) viewpoints.

The last 12 months have been tough, both personally and as a society. As a result, I think lost my voice. That's the reason I'm not posting here. It's not just Bluesky, it's all platforms. But I assure you - I'm here, I'm listening and one day I hope to have something worth saying again.
