Randomly stumbled across this while reading about Glonzo lol

What kind of dog is this? Kind of looks like my dog!

Can just lean into the socialism accusation and combine vilifying the meat industry with workers' rights! It worked before!

Toyko?

Yasukuni, while controversial, is really interesting to go to

It is simultaneously infuriating that their peers, leaders, and communities have to organize food banks and other social assistance programs to make up for a total failure of politics.

An absolute betrayal of trust.

Americans once jumped into France in C-47s. The most difficult challenge you're going to have is managing your department's funding. Get a fucking grip.

I think My Lai and this are apples and oranges.

One has the veil of legality and uncertainty.

The other is seeing soldiers shoot kids.

Easier to identify one as wrong than it is the other.

My opinion is no commissioning source or training pipeline adequately prepared any CGO / JO and below for assessing this situation or making decisions.

That doesn’t mean they don’t have a deeper obligation, but it’s a terrible place for the institution to put them in.

If 2 is true, it’s an interesting strategy. What end does it serve?

Is it meant to sow doubt in the eyes of America’s friends? That the USAF won’t dominate so better get on the team now?

Trying to intimidate us doesn’t seem to be a viable deal because it only redoubles our efforts?

Given secrecy of Chinese state and relative openness of America, to me this points towards a few possibilities:
1) we’re better at secrecy (unlikely?)
2) they’re selectively revealing capabilities (I think likely?)
3) these vehicles aren’t that important to them (I think mid chance?)

How does a military service actually get money to buy things? (POM, NDAA, congressional buy in, DoD vs service, etc)

USAF is wings + 10 too! Granted, flight school goes faster so it works out to be like 11.5 total.

My belief is all the services need a bigger reserve component. Right now the USN / USMC just lose talent to the Guard.

ADSCs for flying are insane.

As a Guard dude, my belief is we should make the active bit of the adsc shorter but then require active reserve service on the back end.

It’s quickly getting off topic, but for fighter aircrew the top fitness requirements are:

1) leg day (so you don’t gloc)
2) yoga (neck / lumbar flexibility)
3) general endurance work

Running two miles fast has basically zero correlation to anything related to the job.

Nor does chest day.
