Since my finger pricker (apparently that's the official term) broke, I have been pricking my fingers by driving lancets into them with my bare hands. Not any more. New prickers have arrived.

The irony

Does anyone know:
1) what this is; and
2) why someone has left it on the windowsill beside the front door?

I think the driver of this electric vehicle has fundamentally misunderstood the purpose of an electric vehicle charging space.

Suzy last week: "My friends in Sweden don't have his car and her car, they have this car and that car and drive whichever is appropriate. I think that's nice."

Suzy this week: "If we get married, I'll keep my car clean and you can mess up your car."

Happy anniversary sweetheart.

When the person leading the service is much taller than the preacher.

(He's actually preaching a thoughtful and sensitive sermon.)

If I'm reading this label correctly, this rice, in its uncooked state, is 102% carbohydrate by weight. Either there has been a misprint, or someone at Tesco has managed to completely rewrite the laws of physics.

Why does whoever fills my employer's vending machines insist on putting the Lucozade, in its red tin, beside the Coke Zero. That's just asking for an unobservant, uncaffeinated ejjit, in need of a sugar-free pick me up, to make a mistake.

The battery is only supposed to hold 41KWh, and it wasn’t entirely empty when it started charging, so why is the charger saying it has output 41.8KWh and counting? 🤷‍♂️

I thought this packaging was probably exaggerating how spicy these noodles are. If anything, the packaging undersold it. My poor mouth

Never watched the #latelatetoyshow before (because we didn't have RTÉ when I was wee) but my favourite Dubliner is insisting. I have to say, I'm having an absolute blast so far.

You can just about see in the light beams that that's some wild drizzle out there in Belfast tonight. Right now, it's kind of refreshing, but I imagine it will be hard for rough sleepers.

The forecast is for it to get wilder.

There's something about fog (or is it mist?)
November 27, 2024 at 9:43 AM
Inconsistently foggy in Belfast this morning. The BT building is less 400m east and almost invisible. Presbyterian Assembly buildings are over 650m west and clearly visible.
