Salmon find their way from the ocean to their natal estuary using the magnetic field. They find their way from there smelling their natal stream. They remember the smell. They can detect one particle per trillion, a scenting ability a thousand times greater than dog.

Moved another gopher snake off the road so he wouldn't get run over. If you let them crawl from hand to hand freely they won't bite. But had to hold him to take the photo so he got a little stressed and I put him down and he roared and crawled off.
