Quite the active afternoon underway. I like to look at the radar mosaics and pick a spot just to see the hundreds of little interactions occurring all at once.

Watch the outbreak of fires across Oklahoma and the Southern Plains that took place earlier today (3/14/2025). Winds 50-60 mph with gusts up to 80 facilitated the vigorous fire spread.

The system qualifies as a moderate Atmospheric River and that coupled with the concerns near the Palisades and Eaton burn scars makes this a noteworthy event.
