I wonder what would happen if we found a way to make the insanely low cost of supermarket booze higher to subsidise reducing the cost of going to the pub?

That would seem an eminently more sensible policy and with better health / domestic safety outcomes than simply 'more time for boozing'.

One for the pod, the last two games Martinelli has scored exactly the sort of goal we expect from Gyokeres, running off the last man. The team can obviously play that pass and spot that run, so I’m not sure this ‘need to adapt to each other’ thing is it. How do we make it work for the main man?

66 PV fires in the UK in 2023. No deaths.

I can't support rivers until someone proves they are safe. They should all be covered over. (193 deaths in UK rivers in 2024).

I can't support cars until someone proves they are safe. They should be banned. (1,633 deaths on UK roads 2024).

Etc. etc.

Probably starting at teen rather than child, but Ways Of Seeing by John Berger is a fantastic introduction to the idea that the way things look can mean something profound beyond just aesthetics. Not strictly architecture but…

Blame Gove's desire to only have eduction we could measure with a stick. While General Studies was considered an 'easy' subject, I enjoyed it and got a lot from it.

Now we know how many holes it takes to fill the Ewood net.
