Wordsmith, drummer, husband, father, grandfather, friend. Mediocre at all of it. I run FanFirst Events & Influence, PR consulting for the festivals and events industry.
When I taught newswriting, I started with these words: "Writing is thinking." The writer of this headline cannot think and the result is "partial collapse." No such animal. Annoys the bejeebus out of me that an outlet such as CNN lets this go. Small thing, but credibility is built on small things.

Why in the wide, wide world of sports can't the Washington Post tell the plain truth? SSA's letter claiming taxes on Social Security were eliminated in Trump's Big Bad Boondoggle IS A LIE? Don't need experts to read the damn bill and point out that that's simply not true. 1/2

We are in a very dangerous place, at an intersection where one path leads to dark places we all thought could never be America.

I like @washingtonpost.com's new bottom scrolling ticker. Keeps me up to date with all the news of 2022.

A very interesting vision of the Middle East in Trump's new video. This is from the 15 second mark.

Good to see the Musk team bringing the same kind of quality control that they've brought to the rest of government.

God almighty -- why oh why can't the Washington Post say it plainly: 1,600 people wait to be freed by the man who urged them to commit crimes for him?

Passive voice, weird point of view. No wonder so many top talents are jumping ship.

Honest to god, this is infuriating. WaPo tries to detail the deep dysfunction of Trump II but characterizes it as "freewheeling," says Trump likes it that way. And nominees with sex charges are mentioned nowhere near the top of the piece. WaPo normalizes this, makes it look like reality show stuff.

Good for what ails ya. Can't make Trump go away but it makes waiting for the stupidity more tolerable.

Once again, the mighty Washington Post does the Republican Party's job for them by presenting Medicaid and SNAP cuts as "overhauling" and "changes" when the story makes clear the idea is to reduce the number of people who use these benefits in order to give Elon Musk more of your money.
