However it's worth remembering that all this means is we won't be rejoining before 2029, which is not really that controversial a statement. It still allows for first steps/ groundwork so IMO it's worth signing!

James Jeffrey must be doing it wrong. Travel time is far more consistent by bike than by car, at least in an urban setting. Note I didn't say *faster* (though it can be), but you are less susceptible to unforeseen delays on a bike...
