"We're not promised tomorrow."

From I'm Gonna Love You (Like I'm Gonna Lose You) by Meghan Trainor and John Legend. It meant a lot to me during the 8 months I watched my wife dying of pancreatic cancer.

I hold no brief for Jenner, but I believe that picking on someone's looks is not a valid way to make a point.

Do they know that IQ tests were written by, and for, upper class White Americans?

Of course they'd say that. It's still a bribe. They're giving a shiny toy to a spoiled brat man-child.

Yes, it does, but that's not the point. The point is that the Trumpist Zombie Army has been conditioned to believe that anything a Trumpist mouthpiece says is true, and evidence to the contrary is part of a global conspiracy by shadowy forces who, for some unknown reason, want to destroy the USA.

Is this a reference to both Trump and Van Gogh's ears?

They could run those programs without the religion. Other secular organizations do just that, but they find it harder to come by the funding without a crowd conditioned from childhood to put money in the collection basket every Sunday.

Yet, it's happening all over. A church in my town was recently sold and converted to apartments and retail/restaurant spaces. Nice to see these huge, solid buildings being useful, instead of just a place for people to reinforce each other's sense of inferiority.

Whatever you thought of the film, cut Adams some slack. "Everything I Do" is a classic love song.

What horse shit. We've been spoon-fed a concept of masculinity that glorifies gunslingers, sexual predators and bullies.

I have the complete series of books on my shelf. It takes up a couple of months to read the whole saga. I'd say you're right in the pocket at 3,300 words for a recap.

I see the declining attendance as a sign of human progress.

You're here for the paint job, but I'm here for the decommissioning of churches.

My question is, will the EU agree to take the UK back? Or, will they tell the UK that it's made its own bed and must now lie in it?

Conspiracy theory is now public policy, in the service of personal spite and revenge.

It makes sense when you consider that buying out the US government was part of Putin's strategy.

Be glad for your kids. When they wind up with engineering jobs that they enjoy, this will make sense.

I think it was Mark Twain who said that it was safe to predict wars, plagues and famines, because you were bound to be right sooner or later.

I hope you stopped into the bakery too. It's a favorite destination for motorcyclists in the area.

The burden of proof is on the one making the statement. I could claim that the universe was created when Harpo Marx ate a pineapple pizza, and no one is obliged to disprove it. If I make the claim, it's up to me to support it with verifiable evidence.

A perhaps is not a fact. Show scientifically verifiable evidence, if you want to establish fact.

I urge everyone to file a complaint with Google Maps over this.
