I want to share my love for the world of Digimon with everyone, showing everything I know about it. PT-BR/EN. You can support me at http://ko-fi.com/dataravel
We now his full name is Makoto Kuonji, but according to Yamaguchi there's a reason why he didn't give his family name when he was introduced in the 2nd episode. He is a a good obedient child and his various good qualities as a character will become clear in future episodes (2/2).

Makoto is a child who can do anything, and so he struggles with the desire to live up to everyone's expectations of what he can do. As with other Digimon in Beatbreak, Chiropmon is his true self he wants to keep hidden, which is why Chiropmon mutters (1/2).

I wonder if Kodai's new uniform will receive official artwork, or only this 3D model. Something I found interesting in the Digimon Story Time Stranger Artbook is that they showed the designs for alternate clothes for the main characters, and even Asuna's suit had artwork.

When it's about Digimon Battles, there's one who is god, the Holy Knight of the End Omegamon. The Greatest Ω (Omega) Carnival was made in honor of his strength.

I wonder if there's chance of seeing an "Omegamon Battle Royal" added to the tournaments with Time Stranger's DLCs .
November 11, 2025 at 11:34 PM
The first Time Stranger DLC being "Do you want more Omegamon?" is surely a choice. I hoped that the DLCs would be used to include Digimon that never had models before, but it seems to be more about adding Digimon that had already been used in previous projects.

We live in 2025, but Beatbreak happens in 2050. How did technology develop? They usually get an expert to supervise the worldview in such cases, but director Miyamoto, on his own, hand-made a detailed setting booklet that was helpful in sharing the worldview with the staff. (2/2)
November 11, 2025 at 5:02 PM
Yamaguichi said the main request director Miyamoto made was to "focus on the relationship between the characters" and the characters were planned with this in mind. The director had a very solid story and worldview of Digimon Beatbreak and that is what they want to portray (1/2)

After episode 4, he finally could reflect on his position in the world, now he knew about Digimon and those with them. What is the next step? Yamaguchi said Tomoro's growth will be the story for the 2nd cour onwards, so he wants us to keep watching while waiting for it (2/2)
November 11, 2025 at 3:56 PM
Because of Tomoro's unique e-Pulse glitched Sapotamas, he always felt unfit for the world of 2025. Meeting Digimon and Glowing Dawn should have made him understand why he always felt uncomfortable. But due to Asuka's Cold Heart, he didn't have time to reflect on this. (1/2)

Yamaguchi said Pristimon was born out of Reina's desire to "be the ideal big sister". Since she doesn't have parents, Pristimon also acts as her own big sister. Why does Reina want to be an ideal big sister? It'll take a while, but there's an episode that will give the reason.

Producer Shibata approached writer Ryōta Yamaguchi for Digimon Beatbreak, a series for an older audience.

About 20 years ago, Ryōta worked in Digimon Savers, which was also born as a "new direction". Since he was interested in what new could be done, he accepted the offer.

Although the name "Digimon Beatbreak" feels related to music, it has nothing to do with it.
According to the director, "Beat" comes from humanity's powerful emotions, and "break" means that those emotions will break an established world that decides what each person needs to be.

Whenever the topic "Is Digimon for children?" is discussed, the example I remember the post is when Konaka discussed the idea of "Tamers isn't for children", showing a very interesting idea of what counts as "children's material" and "adult's material" that isn't "dark content".

There has been no mention of AI in the making of Beatbreak. In fact, this is the series where its animation production has been shown the most; they are weekly releasing the original artwork from the artists on their official accounts. It's the series we know the most about the animated production.

Although Beatbreak makes use of a unique setting that wants to challenge the unexciting "perfect AI" that took control of humanity, it's working with the idea of portraying the idea of the bond between humans and Digimon. Beatbreak isn't just fights; the human drama is important.
November 9, 2025 at 1:28 AM
The same goes for everyone. Digimon aren't the AI that just says something that you need to do in search for an "ideal" that isn't human. Instead, they themselves are like humans, with whom you can dialogue with, and with this exchange, both can grow as a singular entity.
November 9, 2025 at 1:28 AM
For example, Tomoro is someone who has hidden his true self for a long time. What he usually expresses isn't who he is; it's what he shows to society. But Gekkomon? This is Tomoro free from society shackles, it's his desire for freedom.

Like with past Digimon anime, the Digimon are meant to be the alter ego of their partners; they are AI that incorporate the emotions and thoughts of their owner. If conventional AI represses humans, the Digimon are the AI that makes humans face and embrace their true selves.
November 9, 2025 at 1:28 AM
To Miyamoto, what makes us humans is our imperfections. So if AI becomes human-like, that would mean embracing those imperfections. It's when AI gets this close to humanity that it can become something we can love, and this is what Digimon represent. Just like Gekkomon.
November 9, 2025 at 1:28 AM
What happened to AI that it became something so unexciting? Did its direction change? Some follow the AI to become "perfect, their ideal selves" as shown in Beatbreak. You are expected to stop being yourself and just follow it. This isn't human, and AI shouldn't be like this.
November 9, 2025 at 1:28 AM
The society we see in Beatbreak shows some of what is wrong with AI. Something that suppresses humanity. Humans stop acting on their own and start to just follow AI commands. He wonders, wasn't AI supposed to be exciting? At least he remembers being exciting back in the day.
November 9, 2025 at 1:28 AM
To him, AI requires literacy from its user, and even then, it can give terrible results, but there's also the chance it could help human evolution. Making arbitrary choices can lead to losing humanity, so they want Beatbreak to bring out these questions that have no easy answer.
November 9, 2025 at 1:28 AM
To Director Miyamoto, the Digimon, who existed on the Internet, always resembled AI. So, in a way, as reality moves towards AI, it's actually moving closer to Digimon. And nowadays, AI is a heated subject with those who fear it, those who want to be friends with it, and more.
November 9, 2025 at 1:28 AM
When Digimon Adventure was first broadcast, "Digital" was still an intriguing theme that added to the mystery of what Digimon are. In the present day, the main topic is AI, and with this they have the opportunity of using Digimon to explore the multiple sides of AI.
November 9, 2025 at 1:28 AM
I remember questions on Digimon Beatbreak intent with AI, and from the latest interview, we learned more about what the director thinks about it, and his disappointment with its current state as nothing more than a mechanism to limit society and suppress uniqueness.
