USDA demanded that states try to undo the process, but it is too late in many states. USDA's regulations (and due process!) forbid summarily removing benefits from households' cards once they have been loaded. Households should spend those benefits as usual. /5

Railroad tracks were useful when the railroad went bankrupt. Loads of fiber optic lines were useful when the Internet crash happened. Are excess data centers going to be useful when the AI crash happens? Can we repurpose the data centers for other uses? Maybe, or is the hardware is too specialized?
