There’s obvious potential for abuse domestically by both parties, but this also severely raises the risk of a foreign compromise — that database will be an instant target.

The next few days will see 250th anniversaries of our colonial history. I remember reading Robert Gross's "The Minutemen and Their World" in my AP US History class. Suddenly their story has become much more real.
