Even in school foreign languages were taught more through memorization than anything else. Most of the French I know is from memorizing dialog exercises. I can ask if we're going to the beach with sylive and that's about it

I think I'm starting to understand why I can't learn languages. I learned English through phonetics and every time I've tried to learn another language it's always been some sort of "memorize these words" exercise.
