The thing about Mamdani is that he’s a talented politician but not otherworldly or one in a billion, he’s just a competent guy with popular ideas who ran against an entitled piece of shit and to me it’s a lot more optimistic to imagine 1000 campaigns like his than to view him as a unique phenomenon

Trump bankrupted every business he started. Why did anyone ever think it would be any different when he took over America?
So he’s saying all the tariff money we took in is gone and we won’t be able to pay it back. There was always a possibility he could lose this lawsuit and have to refund the tariff money. We didn’t prepare for that possibility? He’s running the govt like he ran his casinos.

These are the people that betrayed your families.
They conspired with Republicans to increase your healthcare.
They are not deserving to be called Democrats.
I have a new term, GOP Lite.
They have ALWAYS held back the party.
Now it’s time to say adios to them and their betrayal.

The worst you can accuse Panorama of doing is making a misleading edit – and I’d dispute that! – to make *a point that was true*.
The programme aired without anyone seeing any issues with the edit. It was on iPlayer for a year without complaints. Donald Trump *did* incite Jan 6th.

Tory culture spox demanding the BBC "grovel" to Trump is baffling. Who is this supposed to chime with?
Just a bizarre line that no one who doesn't use X would ever think.

LNG Canada offered thousands of dollars to a Kitimat, B.C., resident to temporarily “relocate” due to flaring and noise from the company's gas liquefaction and export facility. The resident would also have to agree not to bring future legal claims about property damage.

Republicans were overwhelmingly getting blamed for the shutdown.
There was no reason for the Democrats to cave to Trump on healthcare, except for the fact that they are wholly owned and operated by the health insurance lobby.
