Yes I agree, he unveils the world in publication order, and Magician's Nephew is better as a prequel than a first episode. It is pretty thin, but the wood between the worlds and Charn both hint at something vastly larger and more interesting than Lewis ever bothers to explore imo

Apologies for the AI image here but I have to try and express how I've always imagined Charn. It's such an evocative place, so melancholy, so eerie. It was always my favourite part of the whole Narnia saga
