@simonmarksfsn.bsky.social Hi Simon. Re speculation that the mid-terms might somehow not go ahead, surely they *have* to go ahead, constitutionally. Trump has no pathway to stop them, and even if he did, the fixed terms would simply expire and the whole fed. govt would grind to a halt.

@timkendall70.bsky.social What an extraordinary gift the Golding book is. Faber has wonderful form... The Truffaut letters. The Miller-Durrell letters. Those are the ones I bought when they came out. Also - Exeter. I studied under Michael Wood and Fothergill in the 80s. The M.A. Fiction programme.

Zelensky is a wartime leader watching his people suffer and die under Russian attacks every day. To be lectured and lied to by Trump and Vance, as they defend the war criminal dictator committing these atrocities, is unimaginable agony. An everlasting shame for America.
Trump has not uttered a critical word about Putin but he and his VP publicly belittled the leader of the nation Putin invaded.
