I'm posting this on BlueSky to (hopefully) disprove a theory I have about this platform.

Do people on here understand this is not 'pro-Palestine' activism, despite this individual describing her output as such? That this is in fact the Great Replacement theory so beloved of White Nationalists?

"Get me Hennimore", a skit from That Mitchell & Webb show, in which Hennimore (Webb) is given extremely confusing tasks which he is expected to perform flawlessly. He consistently fails. In this case, the police appear to have screwed up so massively that this seems the only possible explanation as to how they might have managed it.

My favourite Robert Redford story is the one about why he got rejected for the lead role in The Graduate. RIP to a real one.

"I interviewed hundreds, maybe thousands of men", Nichols admitted of the casting process per Vanity Fair, before his conversation with Redford turned out to be a short one. This interview with Zack Polanski is fascinating - not because he says anything clever, but because he seems to manage to almost effortlessly antagonise an interviewer whom I assume would have started off quite sympathetic towards him.

An excerpt from the interview, reading as follows: “Antagonism towards migrants comes from poverty,” he says. “There are exceptions. There are people who are racist, and we can have a longer conversation about where that racism comes from, because I believe that probably comes from poverty. I think if you don’t have scarcity in your life, and if you feel safe and secure, why would you hate another person?” To assert that racism comes from poverty is outrageous, I say, loudly enough that Green Party staff sitting 20ft away start to turn heads. “Hold on, there are lots of very wealthy people who are also racist,” he begins. So your argument does not work, I say. “Well, no, it does,” he says, rehashing his argument, before adding that if you are in poverty, “it is very easy to be whipped up by the rich”, and right now, “the super wealthy are utilising working-class resentment and unhappiness with poverty to whip up hate against migrants”.

An excerpt from the piece, reading as follows: Having consistently failed in attempts to register itself as a political party, Patriotic Alternative has attempted to engage in politics by other means. In 2024, four members of the group stood as local candidates for the ‘English Democrats’ party. However, last year Collett wrote a piece for Heritage and Destiny suggesting that fellow Nazis “who are not known, who have a clean public image and who wish to get elected to high office should join Reform UK, help to steer that party from within.” He went on to say that “Having a number of officials and candidates within Reform UK, and potentially having an ethno-nationalist elected to parliament under the Reform UK banner would obviously be advantageous in a number of ways, not least in bringing Farage and his party closer to our positions.”
