Cars 2 apologist.
The case where the BBFC rejected a shockumentary titled "Terrorists, Killers and Other Wackos" has always fascinated me for some reason. It goes to show how using real disturbing footage will not pass fine if it's intended to be like "Hey, look at these people dying! Don't ya love it, sicko?"

I had a look and yeah, you can tell this is AI generated.

"5 reviewers" my ass, they probably fed other reviews into this.

To my knowledge, only one other Fox title got a 3D autoconversion - Predator. Given the time period, it was based on the heavily DNRed Ultimate Hunter Edition, but fared a bit better conversion wise.

It was also converted to 16:9, but not to the same extent as the film is 1.85:1.

What intrigues me about this release is that the 3D version is a hybrid of "pan and scan" and "open matte" - information was chopped off the sides, but the top and bottom was opened up. I suppose this was done for ease of conversion.

I have stitched together the standard and 3D Blu images.

In 2012, the film I, Robot got a 3D Blu-ray release. It was a testing ground for Fox to see if direct-to-video 3D conversions of their catalog titles would be successful.

It used an autoconversion process developed by JVC, and the results were... mediocre.
