Okay, the copyright litigation is out of the way (subject to possible appeal) and the ratings are up.

Can we please get a season 4 renewal announcement for Yellowjackets now?

Showtime Defeats ‘Yellowjackets’ Copyright Lawsuit
A federal court judge found that the hit series and 2015 film 'Eden' aren't substantially similar outside of tropes common to most survival thrillers.

I'm doing a Black Mirror rewatch and i can't help but be struck by how much of The Waldo Moment - the 2013 episode where the crude animated dog runs for political office - resembles Trump's campaigns. Right down to encouraging violence.

And yet people voted for him...

I find it fascinating how many young content creators are creating content about surviving the Trump regime.

Where were they a few months ago when we were trying to prevent this?

It would be interesting to look back and see how many of these folks actually vocally supported Harris.

When reading an article about the TV/streaming shows returning in 2025, I realized I somehow missed season 5 of Handmaid's Tale.

With the US about to launch a possible unofficial unscripted prequel in 2.5 weeks, and the official season 6 on the horizon, I figured I better get caught up...

As lawmakers kick off the new Congress with great fanfare and GOP joy about President-elect Trump, a reminder that so, so many of these Republicans -- esp Mike Johnson -- tried to overturn the 2020 presidential election by fueling a lie that it was stolen from Trump.

I'm finally watching Yellowjackets because it showed up in my Netflix recommendations. (Yes, I know I'm way behind the curve.)

Holy fuck this is intense.

I'm on episode 8 of the first season and it's been really hard resisting the urge to look up a wiki it something to find out what happens...

I have gotta say that I love when I'm watching a Hallmark Christmas movie and not one, but two, #WynonnaEarp actors are in it.

For those who still have accounts on XTwitter, Grok is now available to all users w/image capability

There appear to be almost no guardrails around what it can generate.

I'm beginning to think the only way to fix the lack of regulation is to fight tech bro & GOP arrogance is w/their own tools...

Rideshare pet peeve -

Uber assigned a driver for my ride to LAX. When the app said the driver was 2 minutes away, I got a notification for a different driver - another 5+ minutes.

I selected a pricing option based on the estimated time & price - this doubled the time.

Ford pardoned Nixon. GHWB pardoned the Iran-Contra crew. Clinton pardoned Marc Rich and his half brother. Trump pardoned Steve Bannon, Mike Flynn, Roger Stone, and Charles Fucking Kushner!

Joe Biden pardoning his own son doesn't come close to any of those truly controversial pardons. Get a grip.

It would be cool if anyone criticizing Biden’s pardon of his son looked at virtually any other post-Nixon president, addressed the non-reasoning or middling reasoning the others gave in comparison to Biden, or realized that this will have literally zero effect on what Trump will do.

Oh, cry me a river you freaking hypocrites.

I don't agree with this move, especially after promising not to, but he's hardly the first to do this.

And the GOP has repeatedly threatened Hunter, dragged him before Congress, & used his issues as campaign points.

My expectations for Wicked were sky high - you might say they were defying gravity (see what I did there?).

It not only met them, it blew them away.

That was probably the best musical movie adaptation I've ever seen.

Do we really have to wait a year for the next act?

There's an opening in my department for a counsel 1 (1-4 years).

Out of curiosity, I did the math to see what that posted salary would amount to with annual 3% increases over 22 years. No other bumps, no promotions, just 3%/year.

It's more than I make. After 5 promotions in 22 years.
