Banning guns feels righteous. But in a nation with 400 million firearms, it’s a fantasy that fuels backlash and gridlock. If Democrats want to win (a requirement if we want to save Democracy)—and save lives—we need to drop slogans and pick up strategy.👇

Egg prices down 59%??? News to me, and completely wrong. But whatever, facts don’t matter anymore.

Somehow, in some messed up weird delusional way, Trump and Vance left that meeting with Zelenskyy feeling like they did a good thing. This is insane. Proud to be an American? No, absolutely not at this moment, under this administration.

Congratulations to Canada for the 4 Nations win! What an incredible series. Bravo! 👏

The colors in the top corners of the TNT scoreboard for the 4 Nations game is correct for Canada (top left, red/white), but is using the Switzerland colors (top right, gold/blue) for Finland (white/blue). Or am I missing something here? #nhl #4nations #CANvsFIN #hockey #TNT #TNTSports

The show, The Good Place, is a really good, cute show. I was hesitant to give it a chance, but once I did and was open enough to give it a chance, I’ve come to really enjoy it. At a time like the present, it’s nice to have a positive escape.

Whoa, this is one of the most intense hockey games I’ve seen in a long time! #nhl #4nations #USAvsCAN #CANvsUSA

I have become apathetic — whatever the future holds, this is what the voters wanted; at least I’d like to believe that is the case and not that the election was tampered with. But meh, whatever - see apathetic. 😑

If someone who voted for him is now suffering as a direct result, don’t gloat.

Invite them to organize with you.

The cruelty may have been his point, but it should never be yours.

It’s nearly 1am and I’m in bed “sleeping” (more like just relaxing, thinking), window is cracked open letting in the cool air. It’s finally raining for the first time in what seems like forever. It’s nice, peaceful pitter patter of the rain and a car went by on a few roads over.

Picking paint colors for the bedroom is such a weird thing to do that causes me to second-guess what I’m liking right now. I just hope that in a month from now I’m still happy with how I feel today.

Seeing this power plant from the air one time was some real sci fi shit.

Obviously PV solar is just better, but I do appreciate the wildness of CSP.
Once the future of solar power, the landmark Ivanpah solar thermal power plant along I-15 near the Nevada-California border is past its prime, left in the desert dust by cheaper solar PV. Now, two of the three units are scheduled to go offline in 2026. www.8newsnow.com/news/local-n... 🔌💡

This matters. Not because I think Trump is capable of mercy or empathy towards these vulnerable groups. But because it is a public act of defiance.

Contrast that with all these other powerful people in this country signaling nothing but appeasement and obedience.
Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde to Trump: "I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now. There are gay, lesbian, and transgender people in Democratic, Republican, and independent families, some who fear for their lives ... and the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals"

SoCal showers now likely Sun-Mon! Decent soaking (0.5+ in.) possible mtns; lighter (0.2-0.5 in.) elsewhere. This will be a cold/convective system (w/showers + t-storms). Enough to tamp down but not end fire season; t-storm downpours may risk fire zone debris flows. #CAwx #CAfire

It’s been an interesting last couple of days here in SoCal. Yesterday at 11:30a, the power went out due to high winds. The power came back on 11:20a today. Meanwhile, there are (at least) 4 major wildfires in LA, 1,000’s of homes leveled. So devastating. Really bizarre times. Stay safe everyone.
