Today, I walked a 5K in Arlington for my friend, former colleague and former Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton to raise money to help find a cure for PSP.

I then drove to the Giant in Gainesville where I donated four bags of groceries to help stock local food pantries through PWC Hunger Free. #Virginia

If you were to ask everyday Americans — including those who aren’t on board with trans equality and liberation — “Do you support shutting down a suicide prevention service for LGBTQIA+ kids?” they would ask who the hell would do such a thing.

Intentionally malicious BS like this gets people killed.
The Trump administration has officially terminated the 988 suicide hotline for LGBTQ youth.

Great to see Manassas Park Mayor Alanna Mensing and more than 100 of our friends and neighbors at the #GoodTrouble protest along Manassas Drive this evening (as the wind turned my hair into a bird’s nest).
Keep showing up. Keep speaking up. Never let ‘em grind you down.

Say that individually to each Virginian who lost a job and are scrambling to make ends meet because the D.C. admin fired them while the RVA admin (by way of Iowa) cheered on their pain.
Virginia's unemployment rate rose in June for the six consecutive month, as the state continues to feel the effects of cuts in federal employment and government contracts under President Donald Trump.

There are now less than two months to go until the start of early voting for the 2025 #Virginia general election on Friday, Sept. 19.
Help out our Dem campaigns by being a Day 1 voter: you save them time/money they then direct to other people who haven't voted. Meanwhile, you're set through Nov. 4!

I wrote this instead:

Ozzy didn’t just define metal. He gave us our worldwide family.

I'm not one to complain about my preferred candidate leading but I am one to complain about pollsters putting stuff (to be polite about it) like this out into the public.

Even if this person ran a write-in campaign, a pollster should mention "write-in." This didn't, which creates a credibility gap.
BTW, in that right-wing Wick poll of the VA governor's race, which had Spanberger up 10+ points, they had an independent candidate named Donna Charles with 2.2% of the vote. Except that: 1) she's not on the ballot; 2) VPAP says she "withdrew from race" bluevirginia.us/2025/07/new-...

Former Del. Mark Levine and I detailed the precedent for protecting medically necessary care of trans people at the federal and state levels.

The federal court ruling and the Code of Virginia are not optional.

Taking health care away from patients harms them.

The federal administration lost in court on this issue.

The Code of Virginia prohibits discrimination against trans people seeking medically necessary transition-related care.

Yet VCU Health won’t continue providing medically necessary care as defined by the Code of Virginia to its patients.
