Here you have Sec Lutnick as Commerce Secretary and his oldest son, Kyle Lutnick, involved in exactly the same AI data center deal. Dad as government official. Son as financial deal maker--earning the family-controlled company millions in fees. Both this summer.

This is part of a pattern we have documented this year at The New York Times. Dads (President Trump, Steve Witkoff and Howard Lutnick) doing government work. As their sons push ahead with related family businesses, cashing in. (This story from May)

Impeachment is a no brainer here. Make every elected official go on the record.
You either endorse this activity or you condemn it. There is no gray area here.
And you stay on this topic. This is a direct threat to our form of government. This is clearly insane behavior of the POTUS.

Here's a transcript of the key exchange:

ME: You filled out a form which essentially says, ‘who delivered this threat,’ and your office wrote in ‘Donald J. Trump.’

HOULAHAN: 'The President.'

Also crucial from Rep Chrissy Houlahan:

One reason she and other Dems did the video about Trump's illegal orders is that they're hearing from inside the military and intel services of actual live fears that they're being given unlawful commands:

Rep Chrissy Houlahan also forcefully points out that virtually no Republicans have condemned Trump's call for Democrats' execution. How is that not a bigger story?

I also asked her if Dems should file impeachment articles. Here's the key exchange on all this:

2/3 What Judge Cobb wrote dovetails with Daniel Dale's fact check.

Fact check: Trump’s false claims about the Insurrection Act | CNN Politics
President Donald Trump has made a series of inaccurate claims in recent days about the Insurrection Act, the old law he has mused about invoking to deploy troops to some US cities.

The service was moving, touching, and inspiring. It was beautiful, magnificent, and perfect, even apart from the fact they were not there. (3/3)

… and about a man whose life and example teach others about those things.

So the president and vice president would not have enjoyed it. It would have confused and confounded them; not only would they not have understood it, it likely would have offended them. (2/3)
