Growing up in a time when “selling out” was the most shameful thing you could do and then being forced to live through the 2020s feels like being kicked in the head by a horse every day

If anyone is wondering what to gift me for my birthday, l would be thrilled to receive the Elizabethan costume worn by Klaus Nomi at his final concert, in 1982. Only $12,500 (which, because it belongs it a museum, feels like a steal).

My very smart and handsome husband assessing Trump’s chances at winning the Nobel Peace Prize, on French TV. Spoiler: They are low. (Sébastien at around 2:45.)
Donald Trump a-t-il vraiment mis fin à 6 guerres en 6 mois?

Another good question, @jordanackermi.bsky.social.
Here's a question: what's the legal responsibility for University of Michigan administrators and Regents who hired private investigators who attempted to murder a student by driving into them with a car?

THE FRENCH: Hey let's all use a slightly different keyboard than the rest of the world.
ME: Oh like for accents right?
THE FRENCH: No we just think the 'a' and the 'q' should switch positions, and the 'm' should go up a row, and you should have to hit shift to type a period.
ME: Thqnk you very ;uch:

good to see everyone figuring out why we said, teaching stem without the humanities was a massive mistake. Raising a generation of engineer brain sociopaths who see human suffering and anguish as something to be laughed at while they try and engineer ways around public good really isn’t going well.

Once I saw a bird and thought, “That bird looks just like a cross between a turkey and a vulture,” and I looked it up, and it turns out that kind of bird is called a turkey vulture.
Vultures are pretty neat guys! (Though I'm glad this one didn't come inside)
