What is "free speech"? Is it that speech has no consequences? Or is protected from being blocked or punished by authorities? Does it apply to all speech or just political expression? Are spoken commands covered, such as "kill that person there"? What about the reach of the speaker?

The idea that opinions ( even if based in ignorance) are as valid as facts is the great deception at the heart of social media and right wing political movements. Hold on to facts, and remember that research is a difficult and meticulous process not a quick google search.

Gus, an emperor penguin who gained international fame after travelling about 3,000km from Antarctica to the West Australian coast, is on his long way home after being released into the Southern Ocean.
Emperor penguins can travel up to 1,600km on foraging trips, when they hunt fish, squid and krill. So Gus’s arrival on Ocean Beach, Denmark, on 1 November sparked surprise.

Its easy to despair at present. The legal system in the US has been corrupted from the top. You can't fix a corrupt legal system from within I think.

In Australia we have compolsary voting. You don't have to vote for any one, you could just put in a blank ballot. What it does do is prevent voter suppression.
