Damn, this is solid.
An excellent article which muses at length about what friendship means and doesn't mean, and why it might be valuable to predators but abhorrent to those of us who abhor predators. This passage feels like the key takeaway.

i'm only halfway through the book but the fact from it that's stuck w/me the most so far is that immigration to the US was reduced to historic lows btwn 1920 and 1965 which means boomers are the least likely generation in US history to be either immigrants or the children of immigrants
