Never suggest that Indigenous Australians were against the Yes vote. Especially those in remote areas.

Thanks to Rob Baillieu for this map.

Referendum results show Indigenous Australians supported the Voice, even though the wider country and the bLaKTiViSTs didn’t

—Organisations and companies Warren Mundine has been associated with have received more than $303,000,000 in federal govt contracts and grants.

Almost all of them focused on Indigenous consulting work, the kind of work the Voice to Parliament would have overseen.

The Blak Sovereignty movement and the Progressive No betrayed remote communities across this country. Communities and FN people most disadvantaged and who would have benefited the most from a Yes vote were hung out to dry by inner-city Blak crusaders with idealistic slogans and chants.

📷 The last 6 weeks as I’ve clocked over 12,000km, visiting remote and regional NT communities and towns invited to talk about sex, sexuality and gender diversity, and the power and role of family and community acceptance in FN LGBTIQA+SB suicide prevention. Around 1,800km to go.

8,000km was a bit of an underestimation, with three more weeks on the road & having clocked 8,170km as of this morning. By mid-September & at the finish of this contract, I’ll ratchet up just under 12,000km over the seven weeks I would’ve been on the road. saferspaces.lgbt

This week, I delivered 2 'What is LGBTIQA+SB? Rainbow Yarns' in remote NT. 14 were Aboriginal fellas, aged 14-16. Staff—"We’ve never had them sit so still for as long as they did."

Community and family understanding and acceptance is crucial for preventing FN LGBTIQA+SB suicide.

For the NT.

Family is recognised as one of the most vital protective factors against suicide among sex, sexuality & gender-diverse children. I start my “What is LGBTIQA+SB?” in the NT with FN family & youth this July/August includes Black Rainbow swag. e: hello@saferspaces.lgbt www.saferspaces.lgbt
