The elite capture of FN disadvantage mobilised by high follower accounts through rage farming techniques thus increasing individual social & financial reward through neoliberal approaches by exploiting & catastrophising suicide, racism & cop brutality for profit—disaster capitalism at its most foul.
October 27, 2023 at 11:30 PM
Over on platform X, it’s genuinely vulgar the FN folks of high follower count who use racism, suicide, disadvantage, incarceration and injustice as means to fundraise their enterprise/s. The grifters’ tell—a donate link is not too far away.

I see this, “It makes white people feel good, that you’re helping a poor Aboriginal child,”…very thing happening in Indigenous suicide to raise money, and yes, “it’s sickening.”

Like many remote Indigenous communities, Yarrabah voted overwhelmingly in favour of a Voice to Parliament. The result of the referendum has left leaders feeling "rejected".

Some cashing in are FN social media types who a) didn’t support the Voice, b) were ambivalent while dragging it or c) “changed” to yes, rattling their gofundme grifting cans or the like.

David Pocock—While child sexual abuse is an issue in Indigenous communities, it is also far too prevalent across the country, with the latest statistics showing around 1 in 4 (28.5%) Australians have experienced child sexual abuse. www.davidpocock.com.au/royal_commis...

Never suggest that Indigenous Australians were against the Yes vote. Especially those in remote areas.

—Organisations and companies Warren Mundine has been associated with have received more than $303,000,000 in federal govt contracts and grants.

Almost all of them focused on Indigenous consulting work, the kind of work the Voice to Parliament would have overseen.

Booth by booth, Indigenous Australians backed the Voice
A central argument of the Voice referendum was the attitude of Indigenous Australians to the question. Voting booth data shows they backed Yes in large numbers.

The Blak Sovereignty movement and the Progressive No betrayed remote communities across this country. Communities and FN people most disadvantaged and who would have benefited the most from a Yes vote were hung out to dry by inner-city Blak crusaders with idealistic slogans and chants.

We are in the era of the elite capture of FN disadvantage—a time that began in the wake of George Floyd and BLM Australia that birthed the GoFundMe grift. FN disadvantage has been hijacked for individual careerism in an age where profitable rage-farming has spawned FN neo-liberalism.
October 16, 2023 at 11:56 AM
It’s a week of mourning, yet there are the usual suspects of FN people panhandling on Twitter. If it’s not rage-farming racism, it’s giving suicides the poverty-porn treatment for crying out loud. For just one week, give it a rest. Remote communities are grieving—it’s not an opportunity for gains.
October 16, 2023 at 11:47 AM
And just like that, no more Twitter.

📷 The last 6 weeks as I’ve clocked over 12,000km, visiting remote and regional NT communities and towns invited to talk about sex, sexuality and gender diversity, and the power and role of family and community acceptance in FN LGBTIQA+SB suicide prevention. Around 1,800km to go.
September 10, 2023 at 10:31 PM
8,000km was a bit of an underestimation, with three more weeks on the road & having clocked 8,170km as of this morning. By mid-September & at the finish of this contract, I’ll ratchet up just under 12,000km over the seven weeks I would’ve been on the road. saferspaces.lgbt
