What made the CPPIB deals even more troubling is that local producers were forced to compete against their own money to buy farmland. Hopefully producers and rural communities wake up to the fact that this government doesn't give a damn about them.

Yes. They look away through lack of oversight and enforcement. Alberta requires pre approval of farmland sales. Sask does “random” audits after fact.

I feel like I’ve been shouting into the void. It’s a real issue. Axing the tax has not made life more affordable in any way. It’s just stripped more money from those who need it.

I couldn’t agree more. Many of our industries discharge heat as a byproduct of their industrial processes that could be used for greenhouse food production and more.
My grocery shopping habits these days require the buying of Canadian products. While supply is increasing there is a ways to go
