This is still my advice: Become a writer anyway. Fuck it, do it, it won't save you, but it's still a beautiful dream to write novels and short stories and poems and mingle with other dreamers and make art and laugh in the face of death. And writing is constant death. Live más.

Hi if you’re new here and new to me, I published a weird fiction novel last year with @malarkeybooks.bsky.social called Thunder From a Clear Blue Sky. That’s an awesome title and the cover is amazing, so the novel doesn’t even have to be any good.

I finally told my husband to stop trying to find me the perfect bday gift and only buy books going forward. I’ve been putting together a list of books that i likely wouldn’t buy myself (because they’re not comps) that he can get me for any holiday. I was pleasantly surprised with this gift today!
