As the shutdown continues and our federal employees continue to work without pay, I think back on a time when I traveled more for work and never once worried about my safety. It is such bullshit that MAGA is putting people at risk in every way possible: healthcare, aviation, taking kids to school 🤬

Went on a much needed solo hike with the pups on Saturday to a very popular lake. It pays off to hike during shoulder season. When the fall leaves disappear so do many of the hikers. It had this place all to myself. 🙌

With all the chaos and fear that is being unleashed on the American people, particularly in LA, it is hard to find joy or peace. I feel paralyzed most of the time by the news. If all I can provide is a peaceful photo once in a while that is what I will do. That and donate to ACLU ✌️#fuckfascism

Made my calls to Congress today. Truth be told, I’ve always called after hours due to anxiety about speaking with someone. I got through to an aide for two of my reps and spoke with them about the Budget Reconciliation Bill. Not nearly as scary to speak with someone as I thought it would be 🤗

I haven’t posted a photo in a while. Here’s an image from a hike in Utah last fall. It was a brutal climb up 2,700 feet of elevation but oh so worth it.
