This horrific bit from Jessica Valenti's substack:
WV prosecutor Tom Truman said if women who miscarry want to avoid arrest, they should “call 911” to tell them that their pregnancy has ended: “Call your doctor. Call law enforcement, or 911, and just say, ‘I miscarried. I want you to know.’”

On June 14—Flag Day—Donald Trump wants tanks in the street and a made-for-TV display of dominance for his birthday. A spectacle meant to look like strength. But real power isn’t staged in Washington. ...

Trump is pardoning Todd and Julie Chrisley, the Georgia reality TV stars convicted of fraud.

Todd was sentenced to 12 years and Julie to 7 years.

Their daughter, Savannah, campaigned for Trump.

During a speech at the RNC in 2024, she said her parents were “persecuted” for their political beliefs.

The random programmatic ads that show up on our podcast included some nasty BS from Kristy Noem. I had some thoughts to share on the topic.
"With these ads, Kristi and all those who work for her are defiling their birthright as Americans. They are the flag burners, they are the criminals. They're kidnapping people and sending them to a foreign torture prison." @timmiller.bsky.social:

Tonight, every night, approximately 400,000 people in pretrial detention (i.e. in jail, awaiting trial, because they couldn't afford bail). As Fiona Apple notes in this mesmerizing video, 60,000 of them are women (66% of whom have minor child at home). These folks should be home with their families.

One hallmark of being an American is that you do not have to fear your government. If Trump’s first 100 days in office have changed anything, it’s that. He has subverted one of the major accomplishments of the Founding Fathers.

This is a fascinating case because here the person was deported in violation of a settlement agreement barring the deportation of certain people who entered the U.S. as children without having USCIS first adjudicate their asylum application. That’s exactly what happened here.

This should lead to criminal charges against Leland Dudek and the people at DOGE who did this. I’m deadly serious about it. They committed fraud by deliberately marking people dead who were alive.
Exclusive: Immigrants falsely labeled dead by the Social Security Administration are showing up at field offices with documents proving they are alive, leading staff to reinstate nearly three dozen people over the past week, according to records obtained by The Post.
Immigrants prove they are alive, forcing Social Security to undo death label
The immigrants who have requested a reversal and been reinstated in Social Security databases include a Haitian asylum seeker and a minor child.

This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!
