A bit of good news. The Baltic States have cut their energy dependence on Russia. They are now connected to the EU grid!

The three Baltic states disconnected their electricity systems from Russia's power grid on Saturday, the region's operators said, part of a plan designed to integrate the countries more closely with the European Union and boost security.

“Why hasn’t anyone bought this yet? It’s fuckin’ awesome”- my husband last night. I brought this home to hang in our luxury unit since we now have such large, plain walls. I also have the portrait of my momma as a kiddo that was painted by an unknown artist in the displaced persons camp.

Acrylic on panel. Sums up just about everything right now. But that was to be expected.

Varnishing this painting with Gamvar Satin. The varnish offers UV protection for my fluorescent pigments. I may add a coat of cold wax varnish to reduce the sheen.

In which the Ohio State legislature spent countless hours and funds passing legislation to ban trans people from varsity sports because ONE girl wanted to play sports. Another good expose of the right wing reactionaries by the Some More News team.

When I visited Lithuania in 2006 I noticed that every time we went out, my cousin’s husband brought a leather satchel. “His documents”, my cousin explained. 50 years of authoritarian rule had ended, but he was conditioned to bring his papers everywhere with him.

Found this in one of my college sketchbooks. If I am proud of nothing else, at least I am proud of being consistent in my beliefs 🤷‍♀️
