Regardless if Netflix or Paramount ends up with WBD, the end result will be equally crappy for both cinemas and consumers.
WBD’s board and shareholders are weighing competing offers for the studio from Netflix and Paramount. Meanwhile, voters in Hollywood are beginning their deliberations as award season ramps up. on.nbcboston.com/fSnmKhN
Netflix and Paramount's battle over Warner Bros. Discovery looms over Hollywood's awards season
Hollywood industry employees won't get a say in WBD's fate — except when it comes to deciding who should take home Oscars.

My LetterBoxd review of The Family McMullen on HBO Max. 3 stars. I was expecting more from this. Still enjoyable, but I also feel Ed Burns phoned it in a little bit. #filmsky #movies #Letterboxd

A ★★★ review of The Family McMullen (2025)
chaotic execution of a flimsy screenplay. I’ve come to expect a lot more from Edward Burns.

A ★★★★ review of Sorry, Baby (2025)
Powerful and emotional script, excellently executed on screen. I only wish we had gotten more of Lucas Hedges and John Carroll Lynch.

Son saw Home Alone on the Disney+ screen and exclaimed out "I want to watch that, Dada!" so here on October 19th we've officially jumped into the Christmas season #filmsky #dadlife #parenting #toddlers

I liked Beetlejuice Beetlejuice a lot. Tim Burton had set the bar high on himself, and he cleared it easily. Darker than the first one, but just as fun! #filmsky 🎥 #nowwatching #halloween

Proud dad moment: when our server came to our table, without prompting our 3 year old immediately says “Hi! Um, I’d like the kids pizza and French fries, please.” Building confidence. Love it #dadlife #dadsky #parentsky

After watching the John Candy doc "I Like Me", my interest in Ron Howard's "Splash" (1984) was piqued. I had no idea John Candy was in this. I very distinctly remember my conservative parents doing everything the could to shield me from this movie (1/3) #filmsky 📽️ #moviessky

Childhood trauma and fame never jaded him and made him an asshole like it does for us so many. John Candy was a genuinely nice guy with a huge heart, which ultimately made his all too short life, so tragic and heartbreaking.

Dead Poets Society

As GenX, Dead Poets Society was always a movie that people couldn't believe I hadn't seen. That was rectified last night. #110 on my quest to 100 "new to me" films this year.
A little formulaic and predictable, but impeccably well acted. Easy to understand why this is a classic. #filmsky #movies
