👍 great.
Steve while you're here- quite a lot of public EV charging goes on in Exeter. I was at Sainsbury's Alphington this morning- 8 vehicles. Public chargers attract VAT. Would it be possible that these people could be double charged If per miles charges go ahead in budget?

My take in this (and maybe I've got the wrong end) was that energy experts had pointed out that rcp 8.5 was highly unlikely( based on emissions only) journalists than put 2+2 together and made 5- thinking it was down to renewables ( or other) progress?

Agree with what you say here. But some of the worst takes on climate ive seen have been on Novara media- that have a lot of reach on youtube and social media

Nationalise the grid and upgrade via gov investment. Gov also build gov owned renewables.

Found it select comitte energy nz mid oct. 15 mins in. Octopus are the most progressive here and calling for zonal pricing. But i have come to the conclusion that really we should own it personally.

The 60bn grid upgrade will go on bills. It should be government owned and seen as infrastructure investment.
Energy companies were recently telling select comitte bills won't go down circa 2030 even if wholesale costs fall.

Not if policy costs go on bills. Lots of working class people are getting hit with bills too high. Nationalise.

Similar thing happening in Exeter- although the roll out of heat network hasn't started yet. If you read updates from the local gas transmission company says its for "gases of the future"
