Correct belief won't save you anyway because Inquisitors can distort everything to tell the story it needs to eliminate you.

going to have to put this book in rotation.

That's why Christianity needed the Inquisition and why the US needs ICE and its various tentacles. The problem with correct belief is that belief also evolves to suit contemporary needs so it isn't even stable. What you believed a few years ago may not be correct now, and it won't save you anyway.

Christianity (and the states it created) simultaneously requires/demands conversion and mistrusts converts, particularly when the state requires conversion for participation in civil society. You can't buy or sell without the mark of conversion, then they worry that you only converted so you could

I'm not opposed to getting him out of office but he did not get there alone, is not an outlier, and the power being amassed will stay right where it is. This book is a great antidote for the all the nostalgia that Trump is generating for the road that got us here.

And that is what I worry about, and why I'm often infuriated by all the focus on Trump's boorish and chaotic behaviour. Because as problematic as that is, it realy isn't the problem. The Security State was not dismantled by Obama and it won't be dismantled by whoever is next, Democrate or Republican

It may curb some of his excesses, much the way that Obama curbed Bush's excesses, but largely by making them legal which is what Obama did. He used nicer language but did not dismantle what Bush built and escalated it taking an "everybody is Hamas" approach to civilians near his drone strikes.

there are some good Pilsners out there. I'm more IPA, bring me your bitterest beer. Straight up unsweetened grapefruit juice.

the post is clearly rage bait but it could not go unchallenged.

I am offended by all the resources used to make cheap beer when AI needs that water and electricity so badly. I also hate to think about all those hops who died in vain.

the only thing good about Heineken is it's marketing.

I would rather drink Maker's Mark than cheap beer which is objectively worse than room temperature tap water.
