Remember when I came up with "buttons" to explain executive dysfunction just because I had an argument with my partner about getting things done?

I made an entirely new series for ADHD Awareness Month explaining motivation & ADHD. Coming next week 👀✨
Page 1 Comic showing a person with black hair and yellow antennae struggling to explain ADHD-related difficulties. Panel 1: The character looks startled as another person enters cheerfully with a dog, saying, “Heyyy, I’m back!” Panel 2: The person frowns, “You said you would clean up!” The character replies, “I wanted to eat breakfast first…” Panel 3: The character adds, “But I couldn’t decide on what to eat, so I didn’t.” The other responds, “Well, now you know better. Next time just eat something.” Panel 4: The character, frustrated, says, “Don’t say it like that! I already knew that!” The other person asks, “Then why can you do it NOW?” Comic continuing the ADHD explanation using a stove metaphor. Panel 1: A stove without buttons is shown. Someone's screenshot of a two-post twitter thread, from user blue (@bluewmist): the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much. you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.

I'm being so real right now, learn how to engage in media as art and not a reflection of your own real life morals. consume things that make you uncomfortable and understand why it makes you uncomfortable. Don't just base yours and others morals standings on the media you consume.

Not gonna lie, I thought about this for most of my work shift today
A digital comic page featuring Emet-Selch and the Crystal Exarch with Amaurot in the background.
